Southern Adelaide Local Health Network - Ambulatory Women’s Health Service - Bedford Park Total Indicative Remuneration : $103,213 p.a. - $112,041 p.a. (pro-rata) Part-time Temporary up to 03 January 2020 - 5 Day Roster - RN2A This role will provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners. You will assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in undertaking ward/unit/service management responsibilities, i.e. Performance management processes, recruitment, supervision of staff and student nurses, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
To be successful you must demonstrate competence in the relevant area of midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice – inclusive of counselling, group work, antenatal and postnatal education. You will have the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting. You will need effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills and have knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
This is a part time vacancy, working 40 hours per fortnight on a 5 day roster and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
