Job Summary: You will be providing, under Registered Professional Engineer of Qld (RPEQ) supervision, engineering input to design, construction and maintenance activities within the business unit. You will also manage construction and/or maintenance activities to ensure a high standard of quality, economy and safety are achieved and project outcomes are met, and provide technical advice to subordinate staff, in your areas of responsibility, to ensure technical standards and efficiencies are achieved.

Job Details: Responsibilities of the role include:
Project manage construction and/or maintenance projects within the business unit, including budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling and reviewing priorities.
Prepare estimates and tenders for commercial contracts and perform the role of estimator for bids or offers undertaken by the Works Centre.
Manage the procurement of road making materials and project services.
Implement project management techniques and systems to enhance project performance.
Manage project team resources to ensure delivery of construction and maintenance projects within budget and time constraints.
Provide technical advice and interpretation on standard specifications and construction processes.
Provide assistance to the Senior Project Manager in carrying out various duties from time to time as agreed.
Acts in accordance with the QPS legislative framework and Code of Conduct. Models ethical behaviour and consistently applies those ethical standards to self and others.
Commitment to Transport and Main Roads' Workplace Health & Safety Policy of achieving a Zero Harm workplace.
This role reports to the Senior Project Manager.
